Fable Legends, Lionhead’s asymmetrical multiplayer game, will go offline permanently from April 13th, the developers have said.
Yesterday it was announced that Lionhead will close forever, along with another Microsoft owned studio Press Play, creator of Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Fable Legends will never receive a proper release.
"The decision has been made to stop development on Fable Legends, and the service will cease to be available after 15:00 GMT on Wednesday 13 April 2016," reads a forum post. "Players who already have access to the closed beta will be able to continue playing the game until this time."
No new players will be invited to the beta, in-game gold purchases will be blocked and those who have already invested in gold will be refunded. "We will be providing all players who purchased gold a full refund," said Lionhead.
"Players who are eligible for a refund will be provided further information by email within the next 7 days."
